Dr. Madeline Polonia

It’s difficult asking for help, and it’s even more difficult finding someone you can trust to support you when life is getting tough. We may not have the same experiences or struggles, but my goal is to create a collaborative environment in order to better understand exactly what you’re going through and partner with you to find effective solutions.

I’m passionate about helping teens and adults learn practical and easy to implement skills that help them better navigate life’s stressors.

We’ll talk during therapy, but we will also practice using tools to improve your communication, manage overwhelming emotions, and heal from hurtful relationships.

This is a place where you can share your worries, frustrations, disappointment, anger and sorrow without judgement.

I’m Dr. Madeline Polonia, mother of two teen boys and licensed clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience. My experience is varied and includes working at hospitals, community mental health centers, college counseling centers and a middle school and high school. Working in various diverse settings has helped me better connect with people of all ages.

I provide counseling in Spanish and English and while I work with a variety of people, my specialties include:

  • Helping adults and teens manage anxiety.

  • Teaching kids and teens with ADHD how to manage their behavior.

  • Helping parents and children to improve their family relationships.

  • Supporting adults as they navigate loss and grief.

  • Empowering teens and adults so they can manage stress and other difficult emotions.

  • Providing ADHD evaluations and written reports for children and teens.
